AI technology has been developed rapidly in the last 20 years and it may present the most exciting changes as well as play a significant role in our life.

How do you think it’s going to transform the world and change the way we live?

Today, we can find the AI technology all around us though we might not be aware of that. Facebook, one of the most popular social media with one of the biggest users uses AI technology for its image recognition. Once you are posting a photo with a group of people, Facebook will suggest tagging the person in the photo. AI helps you to generate data more efficiently. The machine-learning algorithm can generate more accurate predictions, create a data-based recommendation and avoid personal biases.

The use of AI in organizations, governments, security frameworks, energy and natural resource management, etc., is drastically on the rise. Let’s consider some of the revolutions the AI technology is going to create in the future:

Robots to Replace Humans as Manpower

This is already happening in some sectors. The role of human as manpower will face big changes. Most of the operational roles will be done by robots which are considered to be more effective and cost effective in completing those manual tasks. The challenge is how could we evolve and upgrade ourselves to be able to stay in the job market. Obviously, the job market will also have different demands in terms of skills needed in the future and how can we keep it up with it?

The Extinction of Manual Driving

A self-driving car was only an imagination in the past but nowadays you can find them already in the market. Imagine the safety level of driving car and how human error can really be minimized. It’s going to need a big step also in terms of infrastructure and the traffic system, but we are getting there. There will be big changes in terms of law and requirements in driving, transportation system, logistic and supply chain, and also the way we travel.

On Remedies and Prediction of Upcoming Diseases

Can you imagine how many remedies will be available for the existing diseases which are still incurable today. AI technology can accelerate and generate an optimum result on research and development in drugs and pharmacies. Furthermore, with its capability of predicting accurately based on the humongous data it’s learning from, there will be possibility that we can predict what potential disease or illness may turn up and off course we can prepare the remedy even before the disease is coming.

AI as Your Virtual Assistant that Understands You Better Than You Understand Yourself

Using AI, more people would be able to step down on having to carry out so many tasks by themselves. With a personal assistant AI, we’ll be able to remove the more mundane tasks from our lives. It can also predict and probably understand your needs better than yourself. You might not need to order stuff from amazon anymore, you might not need to spend hours to choose the right gifts for you husband, your kids or your parents because AI could and would do it for you and probably better than you.

Organ Donors May Not Be Needed Anymore

The medical sector could really benefit from the AI technology to solve the problem in lacking the organ donor for the organ transplant need. With the AI robotics technology, patients who needs a new heart or a new kidney or a new eye don’t need to wait the availability of the donors. Apart from that by incorporating AI technology into robotics, we’ll soon be able to enhance our own bodies, giving us greater strength, longevity, and endurance. In the future, the cybernetic and artificial hearts can become as useful as natural hearts.

AI has limitless possibilities to use in the future but there are still lots of questions to be answered

  • how will humans collaborate with AI in the future?
  • How is AI going to be different from humans?
  • Will AI replace humans?

As technology is continually improving, there is nothing to stop it from going beyond the human limitations. AI is expected to be a species on planet earth (and maybe in space too). The question is whether humans will be able to be part of the story.
